The Pennsylvania Game Commission and the Wildlife Futures Program at PennVet are studying Eastern cottontail genetics to understand how wild cottontail populations are spread out across the state and to identify barriers that may affect how cottontails move across the landscape.

District 9, Pennsylvania Trappers Association will hold a Sportsman’s Flea Market on September 17, 2023, from 9 AM to 3 PM. This year we are planning a round table discussion about trapping in District 9. District 9 members experienced in canine trapping, beaver trapping, fur handling/skinning for higher profit, mink trapping and anyone else I can find will sit on the panel. As usual there will be many tailgaters on site. This event will be at Lazy Brook Park, 2 Lazybrook Road, Tunkhannock, Pa. 18657. All tailgaters and/or vendors welcome – there will be a $5 donation to set up. Hope to see you there.
